Beautiful Days Review
Beautiful Days is a magical mystical secret back garden to a white mansion in Devon and home to the award winning Levellers annual summer music festival
Next August 2012 will be the Award Winning Levellers 10th Beautiful Days music festival and is sure to sell out as quickly as it did again this year. Make no mistake that Beautiful Days 2011 was by far the best weekender to date.
The sun baked down with highs of 23 degrees over the 3 day extravaganza but for an hour of rain on Saturday morning to wash away the ills of the night before featuring headliners Big Audio Dynamite. Apart from a few technical hiccups on the main arena stage with an occasional crackling speaker and a video projection delay, Beautiful Days was another great success for every performing artist from the word go. The arena`s were all full but still with plenty of room to roam, the bars were fairly packed and service for a pint was only minutes away. It was easy to sense that the festival was roughly a 15000 capacity sell out, but where ever you went for food, drinks, the toilet or the band merchandising stall for a Tshirt rest assured it could all be accomplished with the greatest of ease. This warm and friendly festival will continue its success with families well catered for with interactive role play activities with the children, swinging boats, merry go rounds, skyrides, arts & craft workshops, food from around the world and punch & judy shows every other hour! The Levellers finale on the Sunday evening with a fantastic firework display to boot saw a brilliant ending to another brilliant weekender in Escot Park Devon.

Beautiful Days is the Levellers festival which takes place at Escot Park in the heart of Devon. 2011 is the 9th Beautiful Days Event. A family music festival with five stages, site art, a huge children's area in the centre of the festival, comedy, theatre, family camping, licensed real ale bars from Otter Brewery & carefully selected food and craft stalls.
The Levellers were recent winners of the BBC Radio2 Folk Awards receiving the Treble Clef award for Roots Music. In laymans terms the band have very much stuck to their roots lyrically & musically since 1989. The Levs were also runners-up for Best Family Festival, Grassroots Festival Award and Best Medium Sized Festival at the 2010 UK Festival Awards.
