THE AUTOMATIC
Welsh rockers The Automatic are set to play a gig at Tamworth Castle Pleasure Grounds

The band's first album, Not Accepted Anywhere spilled out hits such as Recover, Raoul and Monster. Their second studio album The Fix is even better than the first with Steve Mcqueen as the main anthem on todays true brit live music scene.
T NEWZ Roving Reporter Roy Sandbrook caught up with lead singer Rob Hawkins just after sound checking at The Palace Venue back in the day.
Rob Hawkins `Well this is a smart venue with smart being my favourite word right now`
Roy Yep, Lee Cheneler (Da Boss) works hard to keep it looking & sounding smart.
Rob Hawkins Quite Impressive, It used to be an old cinema house didnt it?
Roy Sure, I watched Jaws & Star Wars back in the day when the cornetto lady would pace the stalls like some strict school dinner lady but enough about that.. Its the turn of The Automatic at the Palace with an epic gig for the Tamworth massive hopefully.
Rob Hawkins Absolutely,, Tamworth will witness a great show and will be treated to some really smart tracks from The Fix.
Roy And of course your all time classic anthem Monster
Rob Hawkins Yes sure its still a great song but it will be an old classic anthem after you get to hear whats on offer in the new album with plenty of anthems & hits in there along the way, keep checking our newly updated website for the release date and all the usual smart stuff. www.theautomatic.co.uk
At this point The Automatic tour manager steps in to say there is a pre-ordered table full of delicious chinese food waiting for the band in the restaurant around the corner after their sound check as we part company with a high5.
Rob also tells Roy that the band are more than happy with the final cut of the new album In The Fix.
Rob says it`s his first time in Tamworth and planned to view the Castle after lunch.
